One of the common problems is the lack of cleanliness of the pipe surface. electrofusion reducer requires that the joint surface between the pipe and the electrofusion reducer must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure that there is no dust, oil, rust or other impurities. These contaminants will hinder the uniform conduction of heat when the current passes through, resulting in incomplete connection or insufficient joint strength. In particular, oil and dirt on the surface of the pipe may form an isolation layer of heat, thereby affecting the welding process and increasing the risk of joint leakage or rupture. Therefore, before performing electrofusion reducer, be sure to use professional cleaning tools to thoroughly clean the joint surface of the pipe and pipe fittings and ensure that it is dry. Especially when constructing in harsh environments, the importance of cleaning work is more prominent.
Improper temperature control is also a key factor affecting the quality of electrofusion reducer. In the process of electrofusion reducer, accurate temperature control is essential. If the ambient temperature is too low or the surface temperature of the pipe does not meet the requirements, the welding surface will not be completely melted, forming an unstable connection, and even cold welding may occur. On the contrary, if the ambient temperature is too high or the temperature is too high during operation, it may cause the pipe or pipe fittings to overheat, resulting in cracks or deformation, affecting the sealing and compressive strength of the pipe connection. Therefore, when constructing in a low temperature environment, the installer should preheat the pipes and pipe fittings to ensure that the joint surface reaches the appropriate temperature range; in a high temperature environment, it is necessary to adjust the heating power and time of the electric fusion machine to avoid overheating. The control of temperature is not only affected by environmental conditions, but also requires precise operation according to the adjustment function of the electric fusion machine to ensure the quality of the connection.
In addition, failure to heat or cool according to the prescribed time is also a common problem in electric fusion connection. The grasp of welding time and cooling time is crucial. If the heating time is insufficient, the contact surface between the pipe and the electric fusion reducer will not be fully melted, resulting in incomplete connection; while too long a heating time may cause damage to the pipe and pipe fitting materials or instability of the joint structure. The cooling time should not be ignored either. If the cooling process is too hasty, it may cause uneven stress distribution in the joint part, forming cracks or deformation, thus affecting the sealing performance and durability of the connection. Therefore, installers should strictly follow the product instructions and the electric melting machine operating manual to accurately control the heating and cooling time to avoid any operational omissions.
